Leeds.Life CommunityInitially Leeds.Life reached us to help their community grow on Instagram. After becoming the biggest Instagram community in Leeds, they decided to connect with their audience through Twitter and Facebook as well. We utilised different growth techniques some of which were pretty unique for the UK marketing industry, but all of them showed very impressive results. The Leeds.Life Instagram page reached 20k followers in just under 16 months, with more than 70% of followers having Leeds as their hometown.
The primary goal was to share the best photo of Leeds from the Instagram live feed in order to increase the engagement rate of the audience and, at the same time, to develop the number of active followers of the channel.
Whilst working on this project, YOLKA has not only managed to help Leeds.Life become the biggest Instagram page in Leeds, but also to determine the best times for posting as well as to save tonnes of time using the schedule poster. We are proud that the owner of the Leeds.Life page was one of the judges at the "Leeds through a lens" exhibition which definitely highlighted the important role of their Instagram page within the photography community of Leeds.
Twitter was launched only 6 months after the Instagram account, due to the client's preferences. We managed to create a list of potential hashtags which increased tweet impressions, established a list of potential followers and started to engage with the audience.
Within a short period of time, we managed to show an average growth of 230 followers a month. Taking the very tight budget into account, as no paid advertisement was bought directly through Twitter, this was a very impressive figure. Currently more than 500 people see each tweet from Leeds.Life and those numbers continue to grow.
At the start of our Facebook project, we only reposted images from Instagram without any actual budget to spend on advertisement. After careful analysis of the Facebook auditory which is based in Leeds we decided to run a series of advertisement posts. For advertisement publications, the most popular images on Instagram were chosen to achieve a higher engagement rate which helped us to bypass the need of A/B testing.
We also managed to launch Facebook "vote" video which was one of the first within such niche and around West Yorkshire area. Here at YOLKA we also try to keep up with time and innovations, which always shows much better results than old-school marketing techniques.
