A well ranked on TripAdvisor and Scandi inspired restaurant contacted us to take over their social media management and bring more customers to their premises. They were unhappy with the previous agency who managed their pages, so we analysed every aspect of the previous work done and can proudly say that we managed to improve social media presence for Fettle, bring more followers, successfully worked with local influencers and, more importantly, brought a lot of new clients.
As the client is running separate dining evenings under the brand “FINE at Fettle”, we set up separate social media pages in order to specifically target people who are interested in fine dining in the Leeds and Yorkshire areas.
Altogether, we’re currently managing 5 social media accounts: 2 on Instagram, 2 on Facebook and 1 on Twitter. Currently Fettle gets up to 500 website visits from social media accounts a month and we reach up to 25,000 people a month on Instagram alone without any ad campaigns.
The strategy for Fettle was to go for quality rather than quantity, due to the fact that that would suit the restaurant’s audience best. At first this was a big challenge, because filtering audience on Instagram is not that easy, especially when people have private (closed) accounts. From the very first month we managed to bring at least 500 local followers to their Instagram page and we noticed that it didn’t take long until people who started to follow their page, soon made their first appearance at the restaurant. Apart from the number of followers, we managed to increase engagement rates, so more followers started to like Fettle posts and started to receive more comments.
In the very first 3 months, the number of comments increased by 33.2% and the number of likes by 98.4%. We continued to work hard with Fettle Instagram accounts, and managed to grow the main Instagram account from 1900 follower to over 10k. It’s important to note that the audience is local and we constantly work to get rid of irrelevant followers and bots, so the number provided shows the actual number of potential clients we bring to Fettle a month. We’ve recently noticed that even some other social media marketing agencies in Yorkshire are using the Fettle Instagram account as an example of how a business page should be run, which shows that our work not only makes Fettle owners happy, but we’ve put ourselves on the radars of other digital marketing agencies.
